Hello — I'm

Nisa Maaşoğlu,
software engineer.

I build software across AI systems, full-stack web and embedded devices — from the firmware on the board to the interface in the browser.

About

A little about me

I build things end to end. Give me a problem and I can carry it from the first line of firmware on a microcontroller to the interface someone actually clicks — and everything in between: the API, the database, the retrieval pipeline, the tests, the deployment.

I have worked with live audio, biosignals, camera streams, legal corpora, climate data and language models. The domain changes; the way I approach it does not. I read the documentation, build the smallest thing that works, and grow it from there.

Modern tooling moves quickly and I keep up with it. RAG pipelines, tool-calling agents, containers, continuous integration — these are things I use, not things I am planning to learn.

I wrote my first Python in high school and have been building ever since.

What I do

Five fields, one way of working

Each of these is backed by a finished project you can open and run.

AI & Retrieval

Retrieval pipelines and tool-calling agents that answer from real sources and cite them.

RAGLLM APIVector search

Full-Stack Web

Products taken from database design through authorisation to a live server.

PHP / LaravelFastAPIJavaScript

Signal Processing

Live audio and biosignals turned into features, and features turned into decisions.

librosaNumPyDSP

Computer Vision

Detection, tracking and classification, from a camera frame to a servo angle.

OpenCVTransfer learningscikit-learn

Embedded Systems

Firmware for boards that raise their own network and serve their own interface.

ESP32ArduinoC++

Testing & CI

Automated suites and pipelines so a clean clone runs, every time.

Things I have built

Ten finished projects. Every one of them has its source on GitHub.

Titulus

Titulus

Live

legislation text → searchable, cited answers

A web platform for a law practice, live and in daily use. A searchable legislation library, a daily feed parsed from the Official Gazette, and an admin panel with no database that the client runs unaided.

PHPJavaScriptJSONApache
TerraScope

TerraScope

Thesis

81 provinces + Istanbul districts → resilience score

An urban resilience and climate risk simulation: all 81 provinces of Türkiye nationally, and every district of Istanbul in detail. A modular data engine merges live air quality and weather with topography, water index and seismic risk; a decision engine projects scenarios to 2050.

Anamnesis

Anamnesis

CI

a question → an answer with its source

A retrieval-grounded information assistant. A tool-calling agent works over a policy library and a synthetic record set, and every answer names the document and section it came from. Tested with pytest and ruff on a Python 3.10–3.12 matrix.

LetheFS

LetheFS

CI

file access history → a recall score

A file system that forgets on purpose. The Ebbinghaus curve turns access frequency into a live recall score, and a real-time dashboard shows the whole decay, quarantine and recall lifecycle. Every action is logged and reversible.

CI

sensors → a rover that finds its way

A solar search-and-rescue rover. The firmware raises its own Wi-Fi network and serves the command centre straight from flash. Mission logic is separated from the Arduino runtime, so the whole control path compiles and is unit-tested on a laptop with no board attached.

Aurora

Aurora

CI

live sound → light

Real-time generative art. An analysis engine pulls pitch, timbre and loudness out of a live microphone stream, and streams them over WebSockets to a volumetric raymarching shader. No two sessions are ever the same.

CI

a file → ciphertext as a DNA sequence

A desktop application that encrypts files with AES-256-GCM and scrypt, then renders the ciphertext as an A/C/G/T nucleotide sequence exportable to FASTA. The DNA layer is a way of viewing the data; the cipher does the work.

Cardia

Cardia

an electrode → a heartbeat

A single-lead ECG monitor. The Arduino finds R-peaks on the device itself — adaptive threshold, refractory window, interval gating — and streams heart rate to a dashboard with no dependencies at all.

BOZGUN

BOZGUN

CI

a camera frame → a servo angle

A colour-tracking turret. OpenCV maps a target's pixel position to pan and tilt angles over a serial link and marks it with a laser. The hit is simulated; nothing is fired.

Orchidia

Orchidia

CI

a photograph → a species and its care

Photograph an orchid and get the species back, then see the room's conditions checked against what that species actually wants. Runs in a demo mode without a trained model, and says so.
